Two Bruneians & two M'sians nabbed.- By Amin Hosni

In WHAT could easuly be the higherst cannabis seizure made this year,*over exaggeration,its still early in this year!'* enforcement officers from the Narcotics Control Bureau seized around one kilogramme of drugs believed to be cannabis in two separate operations.

the officers seized two plastics packs containing dry leaves,beloeved to be cannbis or more widely known as ganja*d'uhh*. weighing an estimated 865.83 grammes during an operation on Febuary 17.

Two men , a local and a Malaysian national aged 36 & 37, suspected of drug distribution in the country were detained by the enforcement officers during the operation and were taken to the NCB headquaters for further investigation.

The bureau said that the arrests came after the agency gathered information during a 4-month surveilance on the suspects.

the suspects could face the death penalty if found guilty by the court.

NCB enforment officers also detained another two - a bruneian and a malaysian chinese male aged 26 and 23 - the same day for suspected drug related activities.

amongst the items seized by the bureau's Belait branch was a plastic packet containing what was to be believd to be ganja weighing an estimated 119.76 grammes, Both suspects were also taken to the NCB office for further investigation.

the suspects face charges under the Misuse of Drugs Act , Chaper 27
